Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) students and advisor Michelle Fay attended the District Leadership Conference on Saturday, January 18. The conference consisted of general sessions, competitive events, workshops, awards, and other planned leadership and educational activities.
Student attendees Sydney Busick, Austin Remster, Kaden Schrader, Clara Helleso, Rachel Ripperger and Lotty Nolte all placed in at least one competitive performance event!
Kaden, Austin, and Rachel earned a trip to the State Leadership Conference in Public Service Announcement by placing second. Sydney and Clara placed third in Sales Presentation and Lotty placed fourth in Public Speaking.
Objective tests are another part of FLBA competition. These online tests demonstrate students' knowledge in a specific business-related subject area. FBLA Students Trista Hansaker, Karter Rodgers and Emma Ripperger, along with the in-person attendees, placed well in a number of objective test categories.
Iowa Future Business Leaders of America is comprised of more than 195 middle, high school, and college chapters preparing for careers in business or business-related fields.
